Memorial to the staff of the Canadian bomber

This memorial is not very well-known because it is located in a wood, long a road where only a few people circulate. The memorial is for Canadian staff of a B17 or B29 bomber that was coming back from a mission over Germany, in quite a bad state, and that crashed in the woods of Samrée in February or March 1944, which means much before the Battle of the bulge, and aven before the D-day. The poppy-cross was added in the year of the 60th anniversary. You can notice tha mapple leaf of stones in front of the stele, symbol of a memorial to Canadians
