Saint Marguerite's chapel
La Roche-en-Ardenne
Alongside promenade N°4 you can see a charming nice little chapel. They say it was build at around 1600, in the neighbourhood of an hermitage. Legend says that it was erected right on top of a well that gave water to the castle's reservoir and this can still be seen even today. The chapel sits in a exceptional surrounding, close to the ancient road to Liege. Time ago, it enshrined the statues of Our Lady of Sorrows and of Saint Marguerite who was involved by pregnant women for a " happy child-birth". UnfortunaPhy, both statues have been stolen on december 1973.(Text source by MT Houffalize & la Roche-en-Ardenne).
